Polypropylene, Impact Copolymer

The polypropylene impact copolymers are thermoplastic resins produced through the polymerization of propylene and ethylene by using Ziegler Natta catalysts. Their synthesis consists of a heterophasic amorphous structure inside a semi-crystalline PP homopolymer matrix.

The impact copolymers can be transformed by different processing technologies like injection molding, blow molding, film, fiber, sheet extrusion and thermoforming.

Due to their broad range of properties, impact copolymers from LyondellBasell are used in packaging, houseware, film, and pipe applications, as well as in the automotive and electrical segments.
