LyondellBasell Morris Complex Recognized with Safety Award

MORRIS, Ill. – July 5, 2017 – The Morris Complex of LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies, was presented with Canadian National’s (CN) Safe Handling Award for their ongoing safety performance. The Safe Handling Award is an integral part of the Responsible Care® Program – an ongoing performance improvement initiative.

Launched in 1992, CN's Safe Handling Award is presented to customers who load freight cars and meet strict standards for the safe handling and shipment of regulated products. The winners must meet established criteria, according to the total number of shipments of goods for all facilities.

This year a total of 111 companies were presented with the Safe Handling Award, including LyondellBasell’s Morris Complex.

“LyondellBasell is committed to safely and reliably delivering high quality products to our customers,” said Brian Angwin, LyondellBasell’s Site Manager. “Advancing a culture of safety in all operations is a top priority at LyondellBasell and we are proud to be recognized with this award.”

Annette Tackett, a Sr. Process Specialist at the Morris Complex accepted the award on behalf of LyondellBasell. The award ceremony took place in Calgary, Alberta in Canada.
