MORRIS, Ill. – August 17, 2017 – LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemical and refining companies, appointed Tim Carnell as the new site manager of the Morris Complex, which is one of the largest chemical plants in the Midwest. Carnell will oversee more than 400 employees and contractor in his new role.
Carnell is replacing Brian Angwin who retired after 26 years with the company.
With more than 28 years of engineering and management experience in refining and chemical manufacturing, Carnell previously served as Global Associate Director of Automation at LyondellBasell’s Houston Engineering Center in Channelview, Texas.
“I am truly impressed by the hard-working individuals at this site and the dedication to professionalism and continuous improvement,” Carnell said. “I look forward to continuing to watch our Morris Complex grow and provide quality jobs for local workers.”
Carnell is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Rolla and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. In addition, he holds a bachelor’s of science degree in chemistry from Missouri State University as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston.
Carnell said he plans to be active in the Morris community and will participate in various local organizations including Kiwanis Club, Three Rivers Manufacturing Association and Chemical Industry Council of Illinois.
