Outstanding College/Corporate Partnership Award from the American Association of Community Colleges

The American Association of Community Colleges recognized LyondellBasell for its partnership with San Jacinto Community College (SJC) with the award for ‘Outstanding College/Corporate Partnership’ at the annual Awards of Excellence held in April. The award honors the collaboration between a college and corporate partner that has achieved demonstrable, multi-year success in advancing the mission of the institution(s), the economic prosperity of a community, region, or the nation, and the learning excellence of students. Through this community partnership, robust training programs have been created to equip students with the skills needed for successful careers in the petrochemical industry, driving positive impacts and empowering students to foster innovation in tomorrow’s workforce.

2024 Legacy Award from San Jacinto College

LyondellBasell received the 2024 Legacy Award from San Jacinto College during the Hollywood Nights Gala in May. Tracey Campbell, Executive Vice President of Sustainability & Corporate Affairs, delivered remarks at the event, highlighting the company’s positive impact through support from its people and resources, as well as investments in student success. This award recognizes the longstanding partnership and shared dedication to education and community development. LYB has ongoing initiatives to promote academic excellence and prepare students to meet evolving industry demands.

President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award from the Houston Food Bank

The Houston Food Bank awarded LYB with the President’s Volunteer Service Award in the Gold category for volunteering 500+ hours throughout 2023. The Houston Food Bank hosted the LYB 2023 World Food Day project, where 500 employees and contractors volunteered 2,000+ hours in a single day. Through volunteer service, LYB employees contributed to the 120 million meals made possible by the Houston Food Bank in 2023. Founded in 2003 by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation under the George W. Bush administration, the President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity.
