Stephen F. Cooper Elected to LyondellBasell Supervisory Board

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- LyondellBasell Industries N.V. today announced that Stephen F. Cooper has been elected to the company's Supervisory Board.  Cooper replaces Philip Kassin who recently resigned from the board.

Cooper has more than 30 years of experience as a financial advisor, business turnaround specialist and interim executive. He is co-founder and former chairman of Zolfo Cooper, an advisory and interim management firm that provides restructuring leadership to companies and their stakeholders.

Cooper recently served on the Supervisory Board of LyondellBasell Industries AF S.C.A., the predecessor of LyondellBasell Industries N.V., where he was Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Restructuring Committee.  He has served as Vice Chairman and member of the office of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc., the CEO of Hawaiian Telcom and provided management services to American Home Mortgage. In 2005, he served as CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and from 2002 to 2005 he served as CEO and Chief Restructuring Officer of Enron Corporation.  Additionally, he served as Executive Chairman of Blue Bird Corporation, and Chairman of the Board of Collins & Aikman Corporation.
