The Victoria Site team participated in the 2023 Knowledge Bowl at the Victoria College Student Center on March 31. The team was comprised of LyondellBasell employees Jacob Epps, Brian Reed and Chad Airhart.
The Knowledge Bowl is a trivia event held annually, where proceeds raised from team contributions benefit the Crossroads Business and Education Connection, bringing workforce programs and higher education training activities to youth in the community. Teams compete against each other to answer trivia questions spanning a wide variety of topics and categories, including math, science, history, sports, art, geography, current events and TEXAS!
“The Knowledge Bowl is important to me because over the years it has become a site tradition,” said Airhart, LyondellBasell Victoria Site Maintenance and Reliability Lead. “Each year, I enjoy our team coming together outside of the plant and becoming more involved in our community. The Knowledge Bowl is just one example of how LyondellBasell gives back to our communities.”
The 2023 Knowledge Bowl marks the second time that the LyondellBasell Victoria Site has taken home silver, complete with a trophy and bragging rights.
