LyondellBasell (LYB) has approximately 1,500 miles of pipeline along the Gulf Coast. The company’s Pipeline Operations focuses on helping residents understand the importance of using 811 services to prevent accidents and protect underground utilities. To support the 2024 National 811 Day, LYB Pipeline Operations participated in events in the Southeast Region of Texas.
LYB participated in the Touch-A-Truck event in Mont Belvieu which was an interactive platform to learn about the critical need to contact 811 before starting any digging project. An additional event was 811 Day at Dig World, where LYB employees and volunteers support safe digging activities. The event also included discounts for walkups for 811 Night at the Sugarland Space Cowboys Triple-A baseball team.
